Since you're my idol ... I had to run out and buy a MT242HC (just delivered today). I wish I would have seen this video before I paid the dealer to install the 3rd function.
Well like I said in the video, it's better if the dealer installs this kit for you. They know way more than me. Congratulations on the new tractor buddy! You're going to love it!! 👍
Great information video! Job well done buddy.💪👍🏻
Thanks Dave! I'm getting spoiled having 3rd function on all these tractors haha
It’s amazing how easy they made that! Genius ingenuity. Great video C.J!
Yes sir Mike! This was a piece of cake.. that tractor was just begging for a 3rd function kit to be put on haha 👍👍
In poland new 165 1200$
What a racket if you can keep sales brisk.
Nice. Teaching your daughter to kill. So much cruelty and voilence. Imagine yourself in that chickens position.
Great work!! I have the MT225s and I use a 48" flail mower on mine for cleaning along the driveway and woods. We have a zero turn for the yard and garden areas for mowing. The drive-over mower is really nice and I watched your other video of you mowing the yard with it. It did a beautiful job mowing. Great videos ! thanks.
Hey thanks a lot! How do you like your flail mower? I've never used one of those
@@Mallard5Farmhouse I love it. It turns brush and wood into mulch. It's compact for getting around trails and inside fenced gardens. Mine is the Betstco FH-EFG125 medium duty model with hammer style flails. Great for trimming along roadways and driveways. Not for leaving a manicured look, but great for clearing brush and high weeds and grass.
Do you have filled tires?
No they aren't. The tractors they send me to make videos with normally don't have the tires filled. But if it was mine I would definitely want filled tires 👍
Amazing what a little hardwork can do. Works great, job well done. 🚜🇺🇸
Thanks ol buddy!
Very cool. Love it when a plan comes together!
Me too Tyler because it doesn't happen often for me haha 😆
Wow that looks great! Well done.❤🎉❤
Thanks Moira! Hard work but very satisfying 👍
ty
Thanks for watching buddy!
Well I surely didn't expect to start shedding real tears while watching this video. Until around the 17 minute mark when I saw my pap Dale ❤ I miss him so much. I was born In 1992 so it had to be very close to then. Thanks for these videos brother. You gotta new lifetime subscriber
I was hoping you all would get to see this video. Wish I had more footage of Dale and Ronnie. They sure helped out a lot!
Hey Brother, do You prefer with a Cab or without? Just curious lol. God Bless
Hey man! This is a tricky question to answer because I never want to steer anyone the wrong way. I personally love having a cab. BUT that means you have to be extra careful when working in the woods. So if I end up getting a cab tractor one day, then I will do the extra work to keep trails cleared so I can stay in an air conditioned cab away from bugs and dust 👍
0:34 I do. That’s the rabbit hole I’m in now. 😂
I know I wish I could show it but UA-cam wants to pretend food just magically appears on our plates.
I like that splitter. The table, and especially the lift, are fantastic. I just felled 8 trees. I'll have some large rounds that will need to be split. And I'll have several more trees coming down soon. I need a strong splitter. I'll look into the RuggedMade. Thanks for sharing. - Rick
Hey Rick! Last October, I went to the Paul Bunyan Show in Lore City, OH, with the sole purpose of finding a good log splitter. I wanted one that had a log lift, a nice table, and of course, good splitting power that wouldn't break the bank. This RuggedMade is what I ending up picking out of all the log splitter companies that were there. I'm still loving this splitter 👍
What a cool old video! I really enjoyed watching this. 💜
Hey thanks Pauline! I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was a lot of work to make this video, but it makes it worth it when people say they liked it 👍👍
Just came to a deal on a 2024 MT225HE with backhoe today. Hoping to pick it up before the weekend is over.
Awesome! What dealer did you buy it from?
@@Mallard5Farmhouse Superior Farm Supply in Montpelier, OH.
@BattleGroundFab I'll have to look them up.. I don't know them
Years ago, as a child living in a rural area, I used to walk to school every day because it only took 15 minutes. Taking a bus took 45 minutes with a bus exchange at a crossroad. I walked across a neighbor's pasture twice a day and never once had any issues. He saw me on several occasions but never confronted me about it. Times were simpler back then. I wouldn't dare do it now for fear of being shot at.
Me too buddy, me too.. Happy for you!
Hey thanks man! I'm happy for you too! Need more people doing this kind of stuff 👍
My tribe has a problem with trespassing to our private property lately. We have signs posted and they still trespass. I should get a camera posted up. I want my people to be safe when they're enjoying the private beach.
👀👀
What is that three legged camping pot holder called at 2:00 and whete do i get it?
I think I bought that at Walmart years ago. Have no idea what brand it is
I agree 100% about keeping the loader on for that specific reason👍
The front endloader has got me out of trouble twice so far just in the past 2 months lol 👍👍
The good old days. Man we need some more of this in today’s world.
I couldn't agree more!
I run a BDR-185 on a New Holland 3930....1900 rpm in average thick hay, in 4th gear, can run in 5th gear, but beats me to death....hay this year is very thick, was down in 3rd gear in one of my fields.....great videos....!
Hey thanks Mike I appreciate it! I've noticed that the hay is super thick this year. Going to be a lot easier for me on the 2nd cut with the little rain we've gotten
We have the same mower as you, we have it behind our David Brown 990, running 540 pto all day long, hay is thick as well, we just make sure the knives are in good shape as well, speed is around 5-7 mph depending on ground conditions, being from England, these types of mowers started to appear in the mid to late 60’s so am very familiar with them, theve not altered one bit to this day whatever make and there’s loads out there. ua-cam.com/users/shortsK6WUwMPEpzU?si=iwiJpcH3TV-7v_xW
Enjoyed the video CJ, I'm so glad I got a cab and shuttle shift, here in Missouri its getting hotter everyday, hopefully getting my tractor back from dealer tomorrow to finish up food plots, looking forward to your next video, keep cool bud
Yeah I'm over this heat Dave haha. Hope you get your tractor tomorrow buddy 👍
good honest review cj ty nice job
Thanks Rich! Always try to keep it real and just show what happens. I was pretty impressed with the MT232 though
You gotter done bud, looks good. Hydrostatic is nice but no matter what brand you have it robs power from the pto. And as you said if you need more umph from a hydrostatic you need to step up the HP.
Yeah I'm more of a gear shift guy myself, but hopefully this video will give everyone a baseline so that they know better what model they will need 👍
Are you running that mower at 540 rpm? Just doesn’t sound like it’s “wound up” enough. Great video, I really enjoy your channel.
I try to keep it as low as possible because in the manual it says high rpms can damage the mower. I'm glad you enjoy the channel! Means a lot
I am looking for a door, unfortunately a raccoon has figured out how to get inside our enclosed run and now I have to screw a piece of wood over the chicken door every night, it's getting old fast. Do you still like this door?
Yes this door is still working great for us 👍
It took me 3 days to get through all of this. I'm glad I found the time to watch all of it. It puts a smile on my face to see all the old footage. Those generations were hard working people. I truly think there were happier than we are today. Seems like a great family. Thanks for sharing
Yeah this was definitely my longest video ever lol. I couldn't agree more with you. That's what I miss the most about those days.. life seemed so much simpler then.
@@Mallard5Farmhouse i agree. Not as many distractions as there are now. I'm sometimes not sure how to get it all done. I know you know the feeling
@ArcherHHS it's definitely not easy. I'm always behind on something lol
Cool Video Must be Great Memories thanks for sharing 👍
Hey thanks Phil! They sure are some good memories 👍👍
Really reminds me of me and my dad. Good memories
That's been the best part about this video, that it brings back good memories for a lot of people. Glad you enjoyed it! 👍
sure was a lot of hard work going on the farm, great video CJ
Hey thanks Jeff! I miss those days. Glad I get to share these kind of memories with my own family now
Some of my best memories of growing up in the 60's and 70's was doing hay, building fence, and gardening. Thanks for sharing this CJ. Loved it.
Whole time I was making this I wasn't sure if anyone else other than family would want to watch it. I'm glad there's been so many who have enjoyed it 👍👍
We bought a Massey Ferguson 4wd 390 In 1987, what a piece of junk! Everything was plastic including the steering column. The bolts that held the transmission and rear end together would work loose and leak hydraulic fluid. After a year or two the whole floorboard platform loosened up and would move when you climbed up the 2 steps to on board.
My grandfathers were all made before that and he never had trouble like what you did thankfully
Great video saving this thanks! The next one should be back hoe . Got a LS MT122
No problem! I have some videos on taking off different LS Tractor backhoes. I've never had a MT122 here though
This was really cool! I always enjoy seeing old movies. Thanks for sharing. - Rick
Hey thanks Rick! This was a neat video to make because most of this footage I hadn't seen before. Glad to have my Pap Pap give even more info about it all too 👍
I enjoyed this video! My great grandpa and grandpa were farmers but they farmed with horses and horse drawn equipment. Farming is in my blood for sure. Love seeing the old tractors and how the folks were back then. Great video!
Hey thank you very much! This video was very hard to edit, but I'm glad we gathered up all this footage.
Great video. Didn't realize how much older I was than you. I was a junior in 96.
Thanks Kevin! I was 6 years old in 96 lol
Love this. I didn't grow up on a farm, but was surrounded by them. I learned if you wanted to play with the farm kids, you had to help them with their chores. A lot of fun memories. Except slinging hay bales .... that wasn't fun. But after seeing those guys pitching loose hay onto the wagon, bale ain't so bad. Thank you for sharing.
Hey thanks Ken! Yeah that's why we always used hay trailers instead of wagons so they would sit lower to the ground 👍
Great video Cj ! I haven't seen your Grandfather since he retired from the plant. I recognized several people in the video. Your Uncle Mike, Your Dad, and you Pap mentioned Warren & Bucky. I remembered them too if they were Wellmans. Dale & Ronnie Hoyt. Keep your videos coming !!!
Yep they were Wellmans. A lot of good people were at that farm. Thanks for watching Greg!
Brought back a lot of memories from my childhood. Thank you for sharing.....
Hey thanks Kathy! Glad it brought back good memories for you
awesome memories cj njoy
Thanks Rich! This will be a video I come back and watch a good bit 👍
Awww! That was wonderful!!! Thanks for all the hours of work you did to edit this video and put it out for all of us to enjoy. Soooo many happy memories! And so fun to see our family's generations farming so far back through the years! And you are keeping the tradition going! So proud of you and your family!! 💙💙
Thanks for your help 👍
Awesome video!
Thank you! It feels good to get it running right again 👍
Good job jr!!
Great video. Drum mowers are a fantastic economical hay mower for the smaller family farms! Thanks for sharing!
I like how it's low maintenance too👍👍
I was afraid you were going back through your garage door
